This morning we treated our new students to donuts to celebrate their first month as Warriors! The students in Warrior Council, who have been an integral part in helping our new students feel at home, were also invited to join the fun. The morning gave everyone a chance to mingle, make connections, and spend time getting to know one another in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We are so grateful for the incredible students who help make William & Reed Academy feel like home. We’re lucky to have such amazing Warriors!

Yesterday, in our NEW assembly space, our students and parents kicked off the college application process at Common App Camp! With the help of Mrs. Blevins, our Director of College Advising, students learned how to navigate Common App and Naviance, connect their accounts, request transcripts and teacher recommendations, and get answers to their application questions. We kicked off the school year with a week full of Warrior spirit, community, and fun!

🎉 Monday: We rolled out the red carpet to welcome our students back to campus!
🏠 Tuesday: It was all about HOUSE SPIRIT as our Warriors showed off their house pride!
✊ Wednesday: The competition heated up with Rochambeau, with Andrew Busch taking home the championship after many fierce rock-paper-scissors “battles.”
🥤 Thursday: We wrapped up the week with Celebration Station and a dirty soda bar!

ONE WEEK until school starts! We are so excited for another year at W&R! To help you plan your final week of summer, we’ve created a checklist of tasks to complete before Monday, August 3rd:

✔️New Warriors are invited to the New Students/Parent Orientation on Saturday, August 1st to familiarize themselves with W&R policies at 10:00 am.
✔️All students & families are invited to join us on Saturday, August 1st for our Meet & Greet from 11:15 to 12:15. You will have the opportunity to meet your teachers, see your classrooms, and take home a little gift!
✔️Be sure you finish your summer reading & AP assignments to start the school year on the right foot!
✔️Buy your school supplies! Check your email for a list of supplies to have ready for the first day.
✔️Do something fun! Check off that last summer bucket list item!
