Dear World,

Please be kind to our babies.

Please keep them safe when mommy isn’t there.

Please give them the strength to stand up to bullies and the empathy to comfort a crying peer.

Please help them gain the confidence to be themselves and embrace what makes them different.

We can hype up our kids each day by telling them they’re worth, but we can only pray they truly know how amazing they are and that we’ve given them enough confidence to combat all the people trying to tear them down.

So, World, as we send our babies out to you at the start of the new school year, please be kind to them. Surround them with loving friends. Forgive them for their mistakes. And always make sure they remember they're never alone—they have a mom who loves them unconditionally more than anything, on call at home and ready to get them, no matter their age.
