We were thrilled to receive another wonderful donation from one of our favorite local children’s book authors, Sherna Spearman Lott! These new books will soon find a home in our Every Story Matters lending libraries, where they’ll inspire young readers throughout our community.

We are incredibly grateful for people like Sherna, who not only has a teacher’s heart but also a servant’s heart. Her generosity and belief in our mission help ensure that every child has access to stories that inspire, encourage, and remind them they matter.

📚 ATeacherHeart took a short field trip across the RR tracks to visit with Bigger Than Athletics (BTA) Summer Program. I read my newest book, The ABCs of a Teacher, and we discussed their plans for the future as I read. This group includes a future princess 👸🏾 to a banker 💰 to a police officer👮🏼to a "horse rider" 🐎 to a video gamer 🎮 and more!

Special shout-out goes to Tommie Weatherspoon for the opportunity to share my story with the students!!! My hat 👒 is off to Mrs. Lex and Ms. Jada! Those ladies have their hands full guiding our leaders of tomorrow! Our children truly become anything they dream!

My elementary school, Martha Rawls Smith Elementary School, held Popsicles with Principals earlier this week. Imagine my surprise when it was brought to my attention that one of my coworkers, Miss Cravey, selected my first book, My Teacher Sees Me 👀, to share with attendees during her storytime session!!! 📚
