August is National Anti-Inflammatory Month, a time to raise awareness of how inflammation can affect daily life and overall well-being.

Ranging from arthritis to parkinson's to injury recovery, these can impact joint mobility, grip strength, and make even simple tasks, much more difficult.

At SnapSlide, we care deeply about this because we believe everyday health challenges deserve thoughtful attention and empathy.

Small changes in design, awareness, and support can make a meaningful difference in how people experience their day-to-day lives.

Carpenter tool or a less useful pizza cutter? Introducing the rocker knife!
It was originally designed to cut food using a gentle rocking motion instead of the traditional back-and-forth slicing technique. For people with limited grip strength, limb differences, arthritis, tremors, or anyone who primarily uses one hand, this simple design can make meal preparation safer, easier, and more comfortable.

Based on the ulu, a tool used by the indigenous tribes in Alaska and Northern Canada, it provides better control by holding down the object a person is cutting, negating the use of another implement like a fork. The incredible design of this knife has allowed it to remain virtually unchanged over the last 3000 years.

Have you ever used a rocker knife? We'd love to hear what a difference this has made in the kitchen or around the home for you.
