The Department congratulates our 2025 inductees to the Eta Alpha chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honors society: Jennifer Higueros (L) and Andrea Izaguirre (R). Andrea was also recently elected President of the NJCU Student Government Association.

Our Department chair, who is also university senate President, was quoted today in one of the last editions of the Jersey Journal.
NJCU of Montclair State? Kean Jersey City? New Jersey City University’s future will soon be decided Kean and Montclair State (MSU) officials told The Jersey Journal it submitted proposals that will be presented to the NJCU Board of Trustees, expected sometime in February.

Prof. Moran and some students from his US Politics class tagged along with our colleague, Dr. Virginia Ochoa-Winemiller in the Latin American Studies program, for a day tour of the Ellis Island immigration museum and Liberty Island. One of the perks of NJCU is having these amazing resources in the backyard.
