Here is an excellent article on how to help your kids with their math homework. It has some great suggestions including "make a picture" and have your kids "teach it back". Remember if your kid isn't getting it, better to say "I'm not explaining this well..let me try another way" vs "You're not getting this" and repeating the same explanation only louder or slower!

Mathnasium instructors Pierre (l) and Matthew (r) at the "All About Downtown" street fair. Great job by HDSID organizing the event and the JCPD kept everyone safe and happy!. Jersey City, New Jersey is such a great, vibrant and diverse community.
Kids guessed the number of ping pong balls in the sphere -- given an approximation of "when full" and most got the half concept pretty spot on.
The winner will be announced on Monday and will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. The next 5 runners up each get a $10 Amazon Gift Card!
Lots of great prizes on the Spinning Wheel too...pens, pencils, erasers, note pads. All with our logo of course!
