away from dear ones,
Is in grief,
struggling for life,
disheartened...

Please accept our broken ibadah and supplications., please Grant shifa to our aliling people, grant ease in this difficult time,keep us on righteous path,make us among those with whome you are pleased.."

4th Death anniversary of Junaid Jamshed Rahmatullah alaih..

The famous scholar and hadith narrator Hasan al-Basri (d. 110) passed by a group of young men having their meal. Not recognizing him, they invited him to partake with them. They only had bread a some sauce to dip it in. He partook of the meal with them.
Afterwards, when it came time for the next meal, he called them to his house and fed them a full dinner.

When his students asked him about it (meaning: why would he give them a feast when they only gave him bread), he said, "They have a favor over me. All they had was bread, yet they shared it with me, and so it is only right that I share with them what I have."

This beautiful incident from our past shows:
- the generosity of the common folk
- the humility of Hasan for sitting down with the young men when they invited him, even though he would not otherwise have eaten just bread
- the importance of repaying kindness with more kindness
- when you are kind to others, Allah will repay you back that kindness in this world, before the next
- not presuming that you are 'better' if you have done more, since the one who begins with kindness always has the upper hand in that regard.

May Allah make us generous, kind and humble!
