We are incredibly proud of one of our students for representing Waterfront at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Contest at Jersey City Hall, organized by the Jersey City Arts and Culture Office and the Mayor’s Office.
She delivered a powerful 7.5 minute memorized speech, The Three Evils of Society by Dr. King. Her strong stage presence and passionate delivery reflected the values of kindness, equality, and inclusivity that guide our community.
A special thank you to her teachers, Ms. Alex and Mr. Zach, who supported and coached her and took time during a busy conference day to attend and cheer her on.
We are also grateful for the support of her family. Moments like this are made possible through the partnership between dedicated educators and engaged parents.
We are so proud of the courage and voice our students bring to the stage.
