EPA 2023 Workshops
In order to provide our members with an opportunity for professional development, we have moved the funding and the genomics workshops from March 2 to March 3 at 5:00 and thanks to an anonymous donor, the workshops are free. Don't miss out - the enrollment deadline is Feb 17 and enrollment is limited. The 2023 meeting features THREE 90 minute workshops. Two workshops provide all you need to know about funding your research. The first, Foundation Funding will be led by administrators from the Russell Sage Foundation. Foundation funding is too often overlooked and this workshop will tell you why you should consider foundation funding for your research. The second funding workshop is all about NIH Funding, ledt by senior NIH science administrators. This is a must for navigating the NIH funding system. The "what to do and what not to do" will be revealed here in a congenial setting with plenty of opportunity for questions. The third workshop is a deep dive into Race, Culture and Health in the Age of Genomics and Data Science. Gene therapy is here and it's guaranteed to proliferate in the years ahead. Can we eliminate disease by changing genes? What are the promises and the dangers of changing the human genome, of changing our ancestral inheritance? Who will benefit, who will not? This workshop is a must - a genomics tutorial for psychologists.
