Urban Studies at NJCU
Urban Studies is an interdisciplinary program, open to all majors at NJCU, which provides perspectives and tools to understand challenges facing cities.
This summer, we are offering a Tier 2 General Ed class called "Cities of Industry" which which counts toward the Urban Studies Minor and the Sociology Major.
The course SOCI 230, Index #8262 meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 1-5pm and will involve field trips to cultural institutions in the greater Jersey City Metro Area.

This week marks the 50 anniversary of the "riots"/"rebellions" that took place in Newark and in Detroit the following week.
