Students across the country are outraged at the scoring for the June 2018 SAT. It was an easier math section than usual with the harshest curve we've ever seen.

High school students have taken to Twitter and Reddit, arguing the scale used to score the June SAT was unfair and could jeopardize students' scholarship or college admissions chances.

The College Board has said it designed the new SAT to eliminate the need for outside prep. Apparently, it's not working out that way. At SSP, we've got you covered no matter which test you choose! http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/09/us/sat-test-changes.html?emc=eta1&_r=0

Some educators fear that the revised test — one of the biggest redesigns ever — will penalize certain students, like immigrants and the poor.

Great news, East Coast people: The College Board has rescheduled the test that had been rescheduled for the Saturday of the Feb. break to 2/27! That was a nail-biter for sure, since this is the last shot at the current test. Now you've got another month to study :-)

Are you taking the December SAT on Saturday? I know everyone's nervous because it's the 2nd to last shot at the current test, so here's a little checklist to make sure you are ready to go. Get your test bag together today with the following: calculator with extra batteries, several sharp #2 pencils with clean erasers (NOT mechanical pencils - apparently they don't always scan correctly), a watch to keep on your desk (not your phone), your admission ticket, and ID. Please print your ticket today - I can't tell you how many times I've had students running to Kinko's Friday night because their printers ran out of ink! Bring good food - a sandwich is ideal, and nuts or a protein bar. This is so important. Yes, have a good breakfast, but this is a long, stressful test and you need to keep your blood sugar level. NO sugary snacks - leave the M&Ms at home. You don't want to crash!
