My approach as a health counselor is simple; I use my passion for both education and the culinary arts to transform lives. My love of food was instilled in me at an early age. Growing up in the Tuscan countryside, I would watch as my parents produced most of our food. The variety of colors and flavors that sprung from their organic approach to dietary staples like vegetables, eggs, cheese, and eve
n pork, was like watching an artist create a masterpiece to my young mind. The transition from garden to plate was completed in my grandmother’s kitchen in Rome. It was she who taught me the basics of cooking, and how using the freshest vegetables and all natural meats could make a simple meal taste like something from a 5-star restaurant. It is those principles that I try to pass on to my students today. For me, there is no greater joy than sharing my knowledge of food preparation. Letting people know that by using organic, sustainable, whole foods, they can create a meal that is both delicious and healthy. I have Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from City College in NYC, a Montessori Certification from AMS. (American Montessori Society). I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories, and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. My passion for food and teaching is the cornerstone of everything I try to accomplish today, and I want to pass my lifetime of experiences on to you.
