Friday, January 15, 2021: Bushido Kai America held its 69th Promotional Ceremony. Four candidates received Judo Rank Advancement as did four advance in Musashi Ryu Aiki Ju Jutsu.
Congratulations to Holly S. earning her Green Belt, Adeeb A. awarded his Orange and Black Belt, and Brothers Henry and Liam C. both now Yellow and Black Belts. In Ju Jutsu kudos to William S. receiving his purple sash. Sister, Holly S. now a Green Sash, Adeeb given his Orange Sash and Henry C. earning his Yellow Sash.

Watched 2020 tap out and 2021 Bow in for a new year. Bushido Kai America held an overnight lock-in for its members that was well attended. A small group went sleepless as they learn and played Texas Hold Em Poker. The event was well organized by club High Student W. Siek.

Saturday, August 20: BKA was thrilled to have a visit by Sensei Don Cattell, 6th Dan. Sensei Cattell provided us with musch needed pointers on Katatame No Kata and Ura Nage of the Nage no Kata. Always an honor to host Sensei Cattell.

Bushido Kai America held its 68th Promotional ceremony tonight, Friday, June 25, 2020. It was a special night where three higher Black Belt Promotions were announced and one Jr. Purple Belt. The event was well attended by many out of town Black Belts. Don Catell's Rokudan (6th Degree Black Belt) was presented as were Nidan Rank (2nd Degree Black Belt) to BKA Coaches Mike Dembicki and Gerry Chaffee. A Junior 7th Degree (Purple Belt) was award to William S.

Attending was 7th Degree Jamie Livergood, 6th Degree Don Cattell, TKD 6th Degree Gerald Hill, 2nd Dan Glenn Cattell, 2nd Dan, Matt Ball, 2nd Dan Gerry Chaffee and 2nd Dan Mike Dembicki.

The majority of the club was on hand for the presentation and the pot luck dinner that followed.
