Aletheia Christian College - Think Differently

Aletheia Christian College - Think Differently Aletheia is a community of learners who think differently. We are pioneering The One-Room School Met

The vision of Aletheia Christian College utilizes the diversity of the Magic Valley's social and agricultural community in order to build a community of learning, where people from all over the world have the liberty to share and develop skills in Christian ministry, business entrepreneurship, agriculture and education. It is our goal to equip students and teachers with skills that will benefit th

em both as individuals and as representatives of their native country and people. It is our hope, that many of our students will return to their home towns and countries to share these skills with others. To date we have served over 60 students from 7 different countries, including Nepal, Burma, Camaroon, Haiti and Egypt in addition to the U.S. These students have become pastors, missionaries, teachers and leaders in their communities.

Reading was never meant to be an emergency repair.

Many schools are now trying to “fix” adolescent literacy gaps with new programs and professional development. We’re grateful for teachers who care deeply and want to help—but the deeper truth is this: reading was meant to be formed in relationship long before adolescence.

In Scripture, learning begins with belonging:

“You shall teach them diligently to your children…” (Deut. 6:7)

At Aletheia, we believe literacy grows best when children encounter words through story, worship, memory, and imitation—alongside parents, siblings, and mentors. When learning is relational and meaningful, reading becomes fruit, not fear.

Programs can help.
Training matters.
But no system can replace formation.

What if the answer isn’t more remediation—but restored discipleship in learning?

We’d love to hear your thoughts.

My heart weeps. Two girls are missing from the Cincinnati Nepali Church. We have not asked who they are, but we pray for them. Hundreds of girls are missing in Ohio. God, give them a way to escape. Give them eyes to see and courage to go. Bring our nation to repentance, yes, a scary prayer, but we need to come back to YOU. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Understanding the past is key to living in the present and planning the future. This excellent article by Dr. Currie dives into the history of Christianity by looking at tide pools.

Interestingly, I could not sleep and at 3 am this song came up. Baroque composers used "The Doctrine of Affections" where the music reflects the lyrics or the words of the piece. Even if you are not a musician, watching Simon play this piece should make evident the words that he is singing. I appreciate this composition for its accompaniment, for the cinematography, but most of all for how the words draw me to Jesus.
