Finally, my book is published! I created a video on the first several chapters. I speak about learning how to override conflicted feelings and limiting beliefs that are keeping anyone stuck in the past.
If continue to suffer from the trauma of divorce or any trauma for that matter, anyone can apply these three strategies to their life right now.
When one continues to think the same thoughts, one experiences the same feelings. Those feelings are expressed through the same actions giving the same results. It can be no other way!
It's time to change it up.

In the e-book, Relaunching Self, you will determine what area of life needs to transform so that you have a better quality of life and better results. The Wheel of Life exercise helps you to do that. I created a rating scale for it. The purpose is to make sure when you assign a value to an area that you are taking into consideration some suggestions so that you come up with an on-target score. Here it is.

In the fifth e-book, Relaunching Self, there are three key points:
• You’ll figure out what area of your life is holding you back from creating the vision that you see for your future. (It may not be the obvious one or the one with the lowest score.)
• You’ll discover exactly what that area of life will look like if you transform it, and how it affects other areas of your life in a positive way if you achieve it. You will also examine why you are lacking in this area.
• You’ll develop a goal plan assuming responsibility for why you don’t have what you want, and create action steps to achieve it.
Here is the Wheel of Life to complete the exercise. In the next post, you’ll see the rating scale to use with it to determine the area of life that needs the most work to really improve your life going forward.

In my fifth e-book, Relaunching Self, we pinpoint which area of your life will benefit the most by making a major positive change. Pinpointing the right area to transform is key to changing your life for the better, as quickly as possible. Additionally, the right choice of area will also influence other areas connected to it in a positive way.
Your hopes and dreams are within reach. If you had a flash in your mind of something that you imagine being, doing, or having, there is a part of you that believes it is possible.

Believe, Build, Become
You know what you are passionate about. Allow yourself to dream. Close your eyes and ask yourself, “What do I really want?”
Use your imagination to picture it clearly on the screen of your mind. Hold on to that picture. Feel yourself having whatever it is that you want to be, do, or have. Feel the emotions of having it already. If you continually keep that vision in your mind and keep the strong emotional feeling of already having it, you will begin to ask the question, “ What do I have to do to get it?”
This creates awareness and focus. You begin to see opportunities that you weren’t conscious of before. As you visualize, chances for positive action will begin to present themselves. Then, you must take action to receive what you want.

In my e-book, Reinventing Self, this screening will help you to think about whether or not you are following your passion.

THE FOUR W’S OF PASSION SCREENING
Why focus on awareness of your passions? They give your life meaning. They help you discover the Why” of life—your purpose. The more you know about yourself, the more you will know what you want out of life especially now that you are about to create a new one on your own terms. Writing in your journal, jot down an answer to each question. Don’t think too hard on the answers, just let them flow.
WHAT?
1. What do you do most naturally with the greatest of ease?
2. What would you do if time, money, and energy were no object?
3. What could you talk about for hours on end? Think of something that creates wonder, awe, and curiosity within your soul?
4. What do you really want?

WHO?
1. Who do you admire and want to emulate?
2. Who do you think you would be if time and money were no object?
3. Who would you choose as a mentor to help move you on to create your new life, and what about him or her draws you to hold that person in such high regard?
4. Who would be a wonderful person to now include in your life. Describe the qualities that person would possess.

WHEN?
1. When you were a child, what inspired you and what did you love to do?
2. When you feel as though your responsibilities are drifting away or forget about the time, what are you doing? When do you feel in the zone?
3. When do you feel alive and your soul sings with joy?
4. When do you feel most happy?

WHERE?
1. Where are you when participating in an activity involved in a situation that you love?
2. Where are you when you feel most happy?
3. Where does your mind go when you daydream about the new life you are about to create?
4. Where would you be and never feel bored? Why?

How Do Passions Reveal Themselves?
Here is the process. First, you try something that you’ve had little experience with or know about or because of interest and curiosity. If the experience creates a little spark, it will prompt you to move out of your comfort zone and delve deeper into it. You will want to learn and experience more of it. You will experiment with different facets of it to see if it resonates with you on a deeper level.
For example, I’m a life transition coach helping clients move past a life transition by changing their mindset so they can move forward with confidence and clarity. The more I coached, the more I was drawn to helping divorced women move past the trauma of that transition to their personal transformation. It became my passion to guide them.
Next, you will be drawn to like-minded people who have feelings of passion along the same line as you, and you can connect and learn from them. You see their perspective as they share from their heart and the knowledge they have. Having this experience helps you to develop and refine your passion by tweaking your mindset. As a result, you experience joy and fulfillment that supports your happiness in life.
You will develop a sense of purpose guiding you down the path you are meant to be on. It creates energy, inspiration, and motivation to drive you toward your goal. It gives personal freedom because you are living authentically according to how you feel instead of allowing outside influences to dictate how you think and act, which gives the same results over and over again.
It attracts your heart’s desire and makes room for you to imagine what you envision your life to be. You will then be taking control of your life by not allowing distractions to move you off the course. You will have developed clarity, confidence, and the right mindset empowering you to be, do, or have what you desire from life—personal satisfaction. In the next post, you can complete the Four W’s of Passion Screening to zero in on what you are passionate about.

In book four, Reinventing Self, you explore your strengths, values, and passions to find your "sweet spot". Here are the Passion Exploration Questions to get you to go deeper into exploring what truly give meaning to your life.

PASSION EXPLORATION QUESTIONS
1. Write an example of something you engage in doing with the greatest of ease and that makes you feel good inside, draws out your creativity, and makes you feel excited?

2. What genre do you enjoy reading about and could see yourself reading hundreds of books and not get bored? Why?

3. If you could share and teach something that is close to your heart, what would it be and why?

4. Can you think of an experience that you long to have and will regret if you don’t have the opportunity to encounter it?

5. Is there a specific topic or advice that others want to seek you out and ask for your knowledge or comments?

6. What is your definition of passion? What do you feel is your deepest passion?

7. If you struggle with identifying your passion, now is the time to experience new adventures, hobbies, and activities. For example, being around people who live their passion may just ignite a spark that starts your fire. Is there someone you know that you can see and feel their passion for how they live their life? What is it about them that makes you come to that conclusion?

Since some of your roles and part of your identity has changed after divorce, it’s time to take a look at your strengths, values, and passions. If you want to live your best life, you do so by following your passion. You like where you are headed and enjoy the journey along the way. Living your passion is part of the driver that enables you to embrace a new beginning and create a new life when other parts of your life are not where you want them to be.

Why is knowing and living your passion essential and especially now? Your inner happiness is directly connected to what you are passionate about. It gives you a purpose in life and a reason to keep on learning to work toward mastery.

For example, my passion is to help divorced women to become unstuck and move forward after divorce. If I weren’t passionate about it, I wouldn’t have persevered and invested the many hours it took to offer coaching packages, online courses, e-books, and authoring a book on the whole process.

As you reconnect with your passion, you will discover your authentic self and be guided by your heart. Being guided by your heart, intuitively you then feel inspiration and motivation to create a plan of action using your reason and knowledge. In the next post, I’ll give you some passion exploration questions to get you to go deeper into exploring what truly gives meaning to your life.

I created a Core Values Assessment that you can find in book four, Reinventing Self. Once you complete that assessment you will be able to answer the following questions:

• Do the values you possess help you to achieve your goals in moving forward?
• Are those values best suited to help you to become the person you envision yourself to be for the future now that your roles and part of your identity has changed?
• Do these values allow you to make the best decisions serving your higher self?
• Do these values create inner harmony and balance?

09/29/2024

As you continue to do the work from the e-book, Reinventing Self, you are giving yourself the greatest gift. After reinforcing your strengths and weakness, you want to do the same with your core values.

By doing so, you put yourself in a position to develop strategies and goals that will align you with your life purpose. The more you continue to learn who you are now, the more you can master the challenges of life and feel empowered to ask for and receive what you demand from it.

This process takes energy, time, dedication, perseverance, and thought. In the end, you will not look back and say that you wish you had taken the risk and come out of your comfort zone. You are forging ahead making your own path in life.

Who Are You?
Lots of women don’t think to ask that question of themselves and don’t even know the answer to it. You are about to learn who you are at your very core without attaching roles or labels to yourself. You are not a mom, artist, clerk, sales rep, insurance adjuster, government employee, stay-at-home mom or wife, French teacher, volunteer, gourmet cook, master gardener, or yoga instructor.
Our values are the codes or standards that we base our choices and decisions by. They are the standards we set for ourselves in our behavior and our priorities. When our values don’t line up with our higher self, we feel discomfort or pain.
After coming through this major life transition, it is the perfect time to examine your values. Why? Going through significant emotional upheaval forces you to look at your life differently because now your life is different.
Your core values stay the same because they are the essence of you. Other values will shift so that they can remain coordinated with your needs and desires of who and what you envision yourself to be, do, or have for the future.

In the fourth e-book, Reinventing Self, you will learn to create deeper awareness and thoughtful contemplation of what your strengths and weaknesses are. Journal your answers to the following as they pertain to your life.
PERSONAL REFLECTIONS OF STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
1. Think back to when you were a child, what were some activities or pastimes you engaged in that you found yourself to be good at and enjoyed immensely?
2. What are some personal achievements in your life that you attribute to your personal qualities or character traits?
3. What positive personal skills have you developed over the years of which you are especially proud to call your own?
4. Name a personal strength(s) that has allowed you to understand or become proficient in your ability to learn something quickly?
5. Which one of your weaknesses do you think might get in the way of achieving future goals? Why?
6. What do you see as a limiting belief, negative pattern, or unproductive habit that you consider a personal weakness?
7. What activities do you find yourself engaging in that make you feel uncomfortable and give you no joy?
8. Do you have a particular weakness or vulnerability that you could turn into a strengths? How do you think you could do that?
