This orientation includes parents, guardians, and students and is intended to share important information regarding the 2026-2027 school year! During this time, you may also ask questions about these programs.

Some days in education remind you exactly why we do this job. ❤️

JWCE is beyond proud of two students who have made incredible gains this year — not just academically, but socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Watching them grow in confidence, build positive relationships, make better choices, and believe in themselves has been such a rewarding journey for all of us.

Growth doesn’t always show up in test scores. Sometimes it shows up in kindness, self-control, perseverance, friendships, courage, and the ability to keep trying even when things are hard. These two students have come so far, and they deserve to be celebrated for every step forward they’ve made.

We are so proud of who they are becoming and excited to see how far they’ll continue to go. 💙

Yesterday morning we were honored to recognize JWCE’s 2026 high school graduates. This group of extraordinary students have not only completed a significant chapter of their academic journey, but have done so with resilience, vision, and purpose. These graduates have risen above obstacles and emerged stronger, wiser, and more determined. We are very proud of them and wish them the best in their future journeys!

Thank you to all who attended and supported our students. We also give a special thanks to Mr. Jeremy Fuselier for his inspiring message to our graduates.

JWCE celebrates an amazing group of students as they reached an important milestone in their healthcare journey at the JDP CNA Pinning Ceremony! 💙

These students not only earned certification from the Louisiana Dept of Health as a nurse aide, but they also earned college credit through Sowela’s Dual Enrollment course for Fundamentals of Nursing held at James Ward Center of Excellence.

Each pin presented represents not only their achievement, but also the beginning of a meaningful career focused on making a difference in the lives of patients and families.

From classroom learning to hands-on clinical experiences, these students have shown what it truly means to serve and care for others.
We could not be more proud of all they have accomplished and are excited to see the impact they will make in the healthcare field. Congratulations to each of these future healthcare professionals!✨

The JWCE spring garden is looking great! Our students planted cucumbers, tomatoes, green onions, various types of bell peppers, jalapeños, rosemary and basil. The first “Ag in the Classroom” program has been a wonderful success this school year!

This past week the Domestic Divas once again volunteered their time on our campus. Students who qualified through our PBIS program, enjoyed a fun afternoon of Bingo. Winners received cool prizes as well. We are so grateful for this organization and we always look forward to having them visit JWCE!
