Corpus Christi Parish High School 1957-1973, Jennings, Missouri

It is important to note that the high school was orginally a parish high school, but financially difficult to support. Eventually, the Archdiocese assumed its operating costs. That is why my h.s. diploma reads "archdiocesan". If this is not corretct, please correct?

The Pieta from Corpus Christi ( old church ) and the Perpetual Help mosaic are at Holy Name of Jesus Parish ( former St Jerome ). The statue of St Pius X which was in the side garden at the HS was at HNJ for several years but has been gifted to St Pius X HS in Festus. Alexian Brothers owns CC church and CCHS property. They allowed HNJ St VdeP to have a food pantry in the HS for several years after the 2005 parish mergers but vandals kept breaking in to steal copper pipes and a storm tore away the gutters and part of the roof. Water got in whenever it rained and mold grew on the classroom walls. The building became unsafe for us to use. Before we left, we offered parishioners a last chance to view the school - by flashlight - as there was no electricity. I went to CCHS from August 1970 - May 1973 and I still live in Dellwood. So many memories in this building and North County..….

...THE FORMER HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING IN 2020. EVENTUALLY, THE 63-YEAR-OLD BUILDING WILL BE ALLOWED TO DETERIORATE AND THEN BE DEMOLISHED FOR OTHER PURPOSE. BEING IN AN ECONOMICALLY-DEVASTATED MUNICIPALITY, THAT MAY NOT HAPPEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME.

ATTENTION ALL FORMER CCHS, A MESSAGE: Hello, my name is Nassim and I'm a reporter with the Post-Dispatch.

I apologize for posting here, but I am hoping to talk with people who attended Corpus Christi Parish High School from 1957 to 1960. As you may be aware, the Archdiocese of St. Louis released a list of former clergy with substantiated allegations of sexually abusing a minor, and the list included a man who taught at Corpus Christi during that time.
