Help us congratulate and welcome Mr. LaVergne into his new role as Assistant Principal at Jennings High School!⭐️

For the past 19 years, Mr. LaVergne has served our school as a Biology teacher and Head Tennis Coach. Throughout his time at JHS, he has shown dedication to our students, our school, and our Bulldog family.

We are excited to see him step into this new leadership position and continue making a positive impact on our campus. His experience and years of service to Jennings👏🐾

Mr. Broussard challenged our Ed Rising students, aspiring educators who will one day teach the next generation of learners, to design and construct our school’s booth for the Jeff Davis Parish Fair. What a wonderful opportunity to put our curriculum into action as we explore vision statements, mission statements, and school mottos!

These future educators took the idea and ran with it! They collaborated, put their creativity to work, rolled up their sleeves, and put real thought and effort into bringing their vision to life. Watching them take ownership of this project has been such a proud teacher moment!

And the hard work paid off! 🏆 FIRST PLACE in our division!

Today, we not just celebrate a fair booth. We celebrate the initiative, teamwork, creativity, and dedication of students who are preparing to make a difference in the lives of future generations. The future of education is looking BRIGHT!

Happy National 4-H week.

Our JHS 4-H officers and members have celebrated this week by giving their teachers a special treat, a find the clover hunt for students, and we are wrapping up this short week by taking first place in the high school 4-H fair booth exhibit. From livestock and agriculture, to STEM, cooking, leadership, and more there is a 4-H project for almost everyone.
