Jeff Davis Parish Early Childhood Community Network Jeff Davis Ready Start partners with public prekindergarten, head start, and Type III childcare. Enrollment for childcare centers is at any time of the year.

Jeff Davis Ready Start Network partners with public Pre-K sites, Save the Children Head Start in Jennings & Elton, and childcare centers: Brite Beginnings and Blooming Bull Pups, both located in Jennings to offer high-quality learning for our youngest children. Coordinated enrollment in February and March is to encourage families to register for the 2021-2022 school year.

We have had a very successful first two weeks of Pre-K registration. Thank you to all parents who were able to complete registration. Just a reminder that most of the district’s staffing decisions for next school year are made based on our numbers in May. Please get your children registered as soon as possible. Even if you don’t have all of your documents, create an account and add the application. Documents can be added later, but adding the application will at least include your child in our count. If you need assistance or have trouble registering, please reach out, I will be more than happy to assist you.

Good morning. Just a reminder, the portal for Pre-K registration opens tomorrow, March 17th at 8am. Registration is ALL ONLINE, but our previous post has dates for when I will be at each site should you need assistance. If you are able to complete the registration online, you do not need to come in person. Below are just a few tips and reminders, as well as the link to the registration portal and my contact information, in case you have questions. We are looking forward to welcoming a new group of young learners and a great year!

For all parents needing to register their child for prek for the 2026-2027 school year, see below. Online Registration will open March 17th at 8 am. My contact information is on the flyer should you need assistance or have questions. I will post the link for the registration portal on here closer to March 17th.

For parents who have students going to prek for the 2025-2026 school year. I still have several incomplete apps in the portal. In order for your child to start on their first day, these applications must be complete with all documents uploaded no later than Friday, August 8th. Any applications submitted after August 8 will be processed as i can get to them, but we can not guarantee that you will be able to attend the first day.
