A great Sunday in the J! Administrators and staff from the Jennings School District attended services at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (5597 Etzel). Minister DeAndre Davis and the congregation held their first JSD Back-to-School Worship Service. Minister Davis, who also serves as the district's director of Safety and Security, brought the community together to celebrate the start of a promising new school year!

Just four months after a devastating flood forced JSD administrators to institute a hybrid schedule for Jennings Senior High School students, doors are set to open for all to return en masse on Thursday, April 23, just in time to finish this school year JHS-strong and start state testing next week. Phones were flying up the second Tim Cunningham and his band hit the stage last night! 🎷✨ What an incredible night of music and community. We loved seeing the Jennings High School marching band bring that signature energy to the room at the Renaissance Hotel! A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Friends of Jennings School District Foundation in making this evening a sold-out success and culminating a Great Day in the J.
