My ACT classes are a little different—and that’s intentional.

You probably won’t see me dressed in business casual. I’m usually in a T-shirt, jeans, and my shoe of choice…which, quite honestly, is usually flip-flops. 😂
By the time students get to me, they’ve already spent most of their day in a classroom. They’re tired. They don’t need two more hours of someone talking at them while they try to stay awake.

So we talk. We get off topic sometimes. A few life lessons sneak in. We take breaks. We laugh. I make mistakes, too, and they get to see that learning doesn’t require perfection.

But through all of that, there’s growth.

I’m not calling on students to put them on the spot or making them feel embarrassed about what they don’t know. I’m building a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, trying, and getting something wrong.

My job is to help them recognize their strengths—and build from there. Sometimes they need someone to help them see what they’re capable of before they can see it themselves.

My teaching methods are simple, but they tend to stick. And when a student says, “Oh! I get it now!”—that’s what I’m there for. 🤍

We spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this past week preparing for the September ACT, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with these students!

One of my favorite parts of teaching boot camps is seeing their growth—watching something click, seeing their confidence build, and helping them realize they’re capable of more than they thought. It’s why I love what I do. 🤍

Now I’m getting ready for the October ACT! I’m hoping to have the next Boot Camp registration link posted within the next day, so keep an eye on this page for details!

Thank you to the students and parents who continue to trust me with this part of your journey.

📚 SEPTEMBER ACT BOOT CAMP IS COMING UP!

The ACT isn’t just about knowing the material — it’s about knowing how to take the test.

My September ACT Boot Camp is designed to help students:
✨ Understand what the ACT is actually asking
✨ Learn strategies to work smarter (and faster!)
✨ Review the content they’re most likely to see
✨ Build confidence before test day

📅 September 15–17
📍 Crowley , LA

Students can attend individual content sessions or register for the full Boot Camp.

I’ve been an ACT Certified Educator since 2019 and one of my favorite things is watching a student realize, “Wait… I CAN do this.” 🙌

If your student is taking the ACT this fall — especially if they’re trying to raise a score for scholarships, TOPS, or college admission — now is the time to prepare.

📩 Message me for details or to register! Registration link will be in the comments!
