Schedule Pickup Volunteers Needed

Wednesday, August 6th (A-K) and Thursday, August 7th (L-Z)
Shifts are 8:30am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
**Pickups will be in the HIGH SCHOOL DINING HALL! (Not the Freshman Academy)**

SITE FEATURES! Your volunteers at work!

SOUTHEAST ELEMENTARY - They recently had their Run 4 Event. Kaitlin Davis and Michelle Rickelman planned an absolutely amazing Run 4 Event! We absolutely appreciate their long hours and hard work making this fundraiser an absolutely stellar time for the students! Many volunteers organized signs and shirts for the event.

WEST INTERMEDIATE - The Color Run was a huge success in large part because of our volunteers who spent the morning spraying color on our JWI kiddos! We loved that they didn't mind getting a little messy themselves. A great day was had by all!

SITE FEATURES! Your volunteers at work!

WEST INTERMEDIATE - Recently this site went to Jenks Wild. Here are a few words about Wild and some pictures.

We have all heard the saying, “It takes a village.” That is certainly true of Jenks Wild. Each year, Jenks Public Schools provides all 6th graders the opportunity to participate in Jenks Wild, a two night, three day environmental camp. Students participate in adventures ranging from ziplines to fishing and archery to creek study. This amazing experience would not be possible without a village of parent volunteers. This year 111 parents from Jenks West Intermediate rose to the challenge and served as cabin parents at Jenks Wild. The volunteers stayed in the cabins with a group a students, traveled to adventures with the students, and ate meals with the students. Parent volunteers helped keep students safe, on schedule, and supported students in the adventures. Among their many roles, volunteers helped bait hooks, encouraged students to climb just a little higher at the ropes course, and celebrated student successes at Survival. We truly appreciate the time the parents took away from work and family to make this experience a reality for our students. We couldn’t do it without them!

EAST ELEMENTARY - This awesome site had a Skate Party early in the fall, and then had a very successful Food Drive, with 170 boxes for the Jenks Community Food Bank!

NORTHWEST ELEMENTARY - Over at Northwest Elementary we just finished up our Dance-a-thon fundraiser. Our goal was $10k, but made over 16k. We partnered up with Booster this year to help with our fundraiser, as they have helped other schools in the district.

WEST ELEMENTARY - This site just had their annual Jog A Thon fundraiser. Last year they were able to raise enough money for Gaga ball pits for 3 buildings and new playground equipment for pre-k!
