Well I tried. Even facing an insurmountable Democratic machine that runs and controls the town, I think I faired pretty well. 524 votes is nothing to be ashamed of.
We set out to have Superintendent Jill Takacs’ contract not be renewed, and we accomplished that. Whether they want to say “she retired” or “she took leave”, it doesn’t matter. She is no longer able to target and terrorize teachers, students and community members. Even if the Jenkintown tax payer is on the hook for an additional $250,000. She’s gone and we are all better off for it.
Good luck, Jenkintown. I will continue to call out corruption and abuse whenever I see it, no matter who it offends. Six remaining board members were privy to the corruption and abuse and will remain sitting members for at-least 2 more years. Never forget that. They all thought this behavior was acceptable and you didn’t need to know about it. They suppressed every effort for me to inform the people of this town. Never forget that.
It’s funny that the candidate who received the most votes didn’t even know the school board controlled taxes less than 6 months ago when he was already an endorsed candidate. Enjoy your 5% tax increase in perpetuity. And maybe these new board members will answer questions. Who knows? But it’s highly unlikely since they ducked every opportunity leading up to the election. Get informed. Attend meetings. Ask questions. Demand answers.
I want to thank everyone who helped me along the way, everyone who voted for me, and everyone who supported me publicly or in the shadows. You shouldnt have to hide your disgust for a corrupt system that clearly ignores your repeated concerns for your children’s safety, education and well being.
