Confidence is contagious.

When you walk into a meeting with energy and conviction, everyone else in the room picks up on it. The same is true when you seem uncomfortable, disengaged, or unsure.

We unconsciously take cues from the people around us, which is why presence matters just as much as your message. People respond to your words, but they also respond to you.

The more confidence you project, the more confidence others will have in what you’re sharing.

L&D leaders spend their careers helping other people develop new skills. Stakeholder conversations can still be some of the hardest ones to navigate.

At LTEN 2026, BRODYpro CEO Amy Glass led Confident Conversations, a practical session focused on influencing stakeholders, navigating competing priorities, and building the alignment needed to make strong L&D decisions that prepare the organization for what’s ahead.

Participants put their new skills into practice using realistic scenarios and experimenting with approaches they could apply immediately in their own organizations.

Technology continues to change the way we work. The fundamentals of effective communication remain the same.

We’ve moved from overhead projectors to PowerPoint, from primarily in-person interactions to virtual platforms, and now into a world shaped by AI. At the same time, workplaces have become less hierarchical, more matrixed, and more collaborative.

For one global pharmaceutical company, a major restructuring meant broader responsibilities and new working relationships.

We built a workshop around those realities, using PAL™ and PREP to help participants prepare for important conversations around priorities and capacity. They were able to practice situations they were already facing at work.

Subject-matter expertise comes with added pressure: feeling like you should always have the answer.

We worked with a team of field-based clinical educators who regularly presented complex information to highly technical audiences. The program focused on what happens once the presentation becomes a conversation, especially when a question goes beyond what you know.

Through practice and coaching, participants worked on staying engaged, sharing what they could and knowing when to bring in the right expert.

Handling uncertainty well is an important part of communicating with credibility.

People are more likely to engage when they understand why something matters to them.

One of the simplest ways to strengthen communication is to connect information to a purpose. Explaining not just what you're asking people to do, but why you're asking it, helps create clarity, context and buy-in.

One of the fastest ways to improve your communication is to see and hear yourself the way others do.

Many professionals prepare their message but rarely take the time to evaluate how they deliver it. Recording yourself for just a few minutes can reveal habits, strengths and opportunities that are difficult to notice in the moment.

Effective communication training starts with understanding the people it's designed to support.

For this global biotech Medical Affairs team, we customized our High Impact Facilitation program to help physicians more effectively facilitate Advisory Boards.

Grounded in real workplace scenarios, participants practiced new techniques, received coaching and learned from one another through exercises that reflected their day-to-day work.

The result was a team better equipped to guide meaningful discussions when it mattered most.

Partnering with clients on team integration work is always challenging and rewarding.

I’m grateful to be doing this work alongside my co-facilitator, ✅ Sarah Ohanesian, as we partner with a USMA Oncology Leadership Team around an important goal: building greater trust.

But trust doesn’t just happen. It grows through strong relationships and clarity and alignment around roles, goals, and processes.

We started with a customized survey and interviews with every team member - and their team members - then used the data to design a session around their specific needs. And the work continues - we’ll be supporting the team as they put their commitments into practice.

When relationships are strong and roles, goals, and processes are aligned, teams can reduce confusion, increase efficiency, and move forward with greater speed and trust 🙌
