It was a summer day well-spent at the home of Barbara and John Rosenau. ☀️ 👏

On July 30, 2026, the Rosenaus hosted approximately 40 invited guests at their Margate home. The gathering, "A Candid Conversation: Combatting Antisemitism," focused on Gratz College's cutting-edge Antisemitism Studies program. Attendees learned from leading scholars from Gratz College who shared evidence-based approaches to combat the rise and increasing normalization of antisemitism. Barbara, past director of Gratz's Adult Jewish Learning program and current student in the Antisemitism Studies Master's degree program, organized this program to raise awareness and support for Gratz's program.

⚾ Gratz at the Phillies! ⚾

Gratz faculty, staff, alumni, and friends headed to Citizens Bank Park on August 3 for a beautiful evening to cheer on the Phillies as they took on the Washington Nationals!

The Phillies battled back for a 6–3 victory, capped off by a thrilling grand slam from Derek Hill that put the Phillies ahead and sent the crowd into a frenzy! 🎉

A big thank you to Lauren Beth Marks for organizing a fantastic night at the ballpark!

It was a momentous day in the world of digital scholarship at Gratz! Our Director of Digital Scholarship Alison Joseph, representing the Grayzel Digital Platform, accepted the 2026 Archival Innovator Award from the Society of American Archivists on Thursday, July 30th.

The Archival Innovator Award recognizes an archivist, a group of archivists, a repository, or an organization that demonstrates the greatest overall current impact on the profession or their communities.

This achievement would not have been possible without our two hard-working digital archivists: Anne Flannery, PhD and Elizabeth Japha, MLIS!

Gratz College has made global news!

This article by the Philadelphia Jewish Exponent highlights the profound commitment of the Gratz College Antisemitism Studies program and our Director of the Center for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights Ayal Feinberg.

Gratz, in partnership with the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and the Comper Center at the University of Haifa, has launched the Contemporary Antisemitism Studies Association (CASA).

Gratz College is partnering with other educational institutions to launch a global antisemitism studies association.
