They met the goal. We brought the tape.
Our students reached their Eagle Walk goal last Friday and showed up today ready to cash in on their prize!

Was it sticky? YES
Was it kind of ridiculous? Absolutely
Was it worth it? 100%

After 10 minutes of taping Mr. O and Mr. DeVries to the wall, our 2 Principals fell to the floor once the chairs were removed. But boy was it fun to watch the process!

A huge thank you to our generous community for your support of this student-led fundraiser. Many thanks to the generous business sponsors who also supported the walk and helped our students far exceed their goal. Together we raised just over $47,000 for the JCS Parent Club!

Psalm 100:5 “For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” We see these reminders so often at JCS and today was no different. Former JCS 8th grade teacher, Mr. Rick Vredevoogd, visited school today and stopped in his old room. There he found current 8th teacher, Mr. Payton Ponstein, who was also Mr. Vredevoogd’s student in that very room! 💙🤍💛 We are so grateful for both of these men and their passion for kids to know Christ at JCS!

Thank you Conquerors Strength Team for sharing with our students and staff what it means to truly build God’s kingdom with passion and power! 💪 We were reminded that in Ephesians 2:10 it says “For we are God’s MASTERPIECE. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

🎨 Big news for our little artists!

Mrs. Steenwyk’s kindergarten class has taken on a huge creative adventure—their art project is officially featured in ArtPrize!

It is incredible to see what tiny hands, giant imaginations, and a truly inspiring teacher can accomplish together. From bright splashes of paint to endless enthusiasm, these young creators poured their hearts into this piece: Creative Creatures.

What an incredible day of fellowship, worship, and fun at the Conference Grounds in Grand Haven for our JCS Middle School Mixer yesterday!

Our students kicked off the day worshipping together, shared a great lunch, and spent the afternoon building new friendships through all kinds of team games in mixed-age groups. It was awesome seeing 5th-8th graders encourage one another, laugh together, and grow as a community.

Check out a few highlights from the day below! 👇
