Important road construction update

Beginning the week of October 12, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are tentatively expected to begin work on a resurfacing project on 12th Ave. between Baldwin St. and Port Sheldon St.

Work on this project is expected to last through late October/early November; however, please note that all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change. Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.

The introductions are not slowing down! 🏫

We are back with part four of our School Resource Officer spotlight series. Deputy Adam VanDis and Deputy Andy Jonkman are SROs for Jenison Public Schools. This will be Deputy VanDis's 6th year as an SRO, and Deputy Jonkman is coming up on 2 and a half years. Both of these deputies play a vital role in the safety and well-being of our students and school communities across Ottawa County.

We hope you are enjoying getting to know the faces behind the badge. More to come! 💙

Our safety squad participated in their first leadership activity of the year. They partnered with a local Watershed Forester learning about Rush Creek Watershed and planted trees on our campus to help protect our watershed.
