Attention TCA families:
Tomorrow morning we will be taking a special offering to benefit Gradee Book. She is a precious 9 year old who is dealing with some very serious health issues. She was diagnosed with a duplication of chromosome 22 and a rare, degenerative eye disease called Optic Atrophy 1. I'm just one short year, this condition has caused her to lose nearly all of her sight. Just recently, Gradee was diagnosed with a very rare genetic mutation that causes the loss of motor skills and seizures. Currently, there is no cure for the disease. We would love for everyone who can to donate to this cause, and for everyone to lift up Gradee and her family in prayer.

Red Ribbon week will be here in just a couple of weeks! This years theme is "Be a Hero, Stay Drug Free," so we are dressing accordingly. We're looking forward to a SUPER week! 🦸 🔴 🦹‍♀️ 🔴 🦸‍♀️ 🔴 🦹

Today was our second meeting of the TCA Cooking Club, and it was quite the adventure! The 5th through 8th grade classes made homemade brownies. They had to read and follow their recipe with minimal guidance and could choose additional ingredients like pecans and chocolate chips to make their brownies extra special. They did a great job and their brownies were delicious!
The 1st through 4th grade classes made "mummy dogs" from hot dogs and crescent roll dough. They also were given a choice of different ingredients to make their own trail mix. The enthusiasm of this group is always so much fun!
The cooking club would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Tracy Campbell Doug N Tracy Campbell, Finders Keepers , and Mrs. Tina Barnes Tina LaCroix Barnes. Because of their generous donations, we now have more mixing bowls, utensils, and other items we need. Thank you so much for your support!

Today the LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Office presented a demonstration of all that their dogs and drone can do! We always love watching the K-9’s do their job and really loved the addition of the drone. Thank you to Sheriff Windham and all the deputies who took time out their day to bring us some education and fun!

Today we had our first meeting of the TCA Cooking Club. We discussed proper hygiene and learned the names and uses for different kitchen utensils. We even learned some kitchen terms like whisking and folding. The students worked in groups and made delicious banana pudding, which they were able to make up in individual cups to take with them. We had a wonderful time and are already excited for our October meeting!
We would like to thank Mrs. Danna, Mrs. Crystal, and Haylee for all their help with prep and clean up.
