During Chapel this morning, La. Tech students Rachael Elliott and Zachary Scales shared about their recent ministry experience. As part of the ministry/missions team at their school, they were part of a group that went to San Francisco to serve in the homeless community. They talked about the importance of spending time with the people they served making real connections, not just meeting immediate needs. The group helped provide food and clothing to many homeless individuals and families. They were also able to pray with and witness to the people they met, sharing God's love and compassion with those in need.
