🚔🚒🚑 It’s one of Pre-K’s favorite weeks of the year… Community Helpers Week! ❤️

This week, Mrs. Emmalee’s class learned all about our amazing community helpers and welcomed some very special visitors! Our students had the opportunity to learn about the important jobs these everyday heroes do to keep our community safe and healthy.

A HUGE thank-you to our special guests for taking the time to visit and do an amazing job teaching our Pre-K students about your professions!

💙 Jena Police Department and Officer Perry Nelson

❤️ Rogers/Nebo Volunteer Fire Dept. and Firefighter/AEMT Dylan Elliott

🚑 LaSalle General Hospital and Paramedics Leslie Paul and Austin Patton

We are so thankful for each of you and the time you spent with our little learners! Thank you for all you do for our community!

💙🤍 Nebo Elementary would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to ALL of our community helpers for the important work you do each and every day! We appreciate you more than you know! 👏🇺🇸

🚧💙 Building Good Habits, One Day at a Time! 💙🚧

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Braves had a constructively good time at the Jena High School Pep Rally last Thursday! 🦺🏗️

These students earned the opportunity to attend by meeting our 9-weeks behavior and attendance goals. We are so proud of them for showing up, making good choices, and working hard throughout the nine weeks! 💙🤍

Keep building those great habits, Braves & thank you Jena High School for hosting our crew! 🔨✨

🥤🍦Learning About Compound Words! 🍦🥤
Mrs. Emmalee’s Pre-K class has been learning all about compound words! To demonstrate how two things can come together to make something new, the class combined two yummy treats—ice cream and milk—to make an even better treat: MILKSHAKES! 😋

Just like we put two words together to make a compound word, we put two delicious ingredients together to make a delicious milkshake! 🥤💙

Learning is always more fun when you can eat your lesson! 📚✨
