Today, we mourn the passing of a music legend, Dolly Parton. And while most people celebrate her legendary music career and incredible philanthropy, few know about her roots in school music programs. At Sevier County High School in Sevierville, Tennessee, she played percussion and performed as a majorette in the marching band. Even fewer know that behind the scenes, she spent years quietly funding high school band programs, buying uniforms and instruments for students who couldn’t afford them. Rest in Peace, Dolly 🦋

32 minutes left! We’re so close! Great job to these students and their commitment to reach 24 hours. Many of them have been awake since 6-7 am yesterday! Almost 36 hours total!
