Georgia 4-H at Camp Jekyll Georgia 4-H at Camp Jekyll offers environmental education field studies, summer camp adventures, and opportunities for community organizations to enjoy the

Camp Jekyll provides year round learning and fun for youth of all ages. The University of Georgia Extension/Georgia 4-H has been connecting children to Georgia's coastal environment on Jekyll Island since 1983. Georgia 4-H at camp Jekyll now reach more than 13,000 people each year through our Environmental Education Program and Summer Camp Program, using hands-on techniques to engage young minds.

We are excited to partner with the Jekyll Island Authority as the operator of Camp Jekyll opening February 2017!

There is less than one month until Georgia 4-H at Camp Jekyll's second annual Community Open House! Please join us on Friday, May 8, 2026 any time between 2:00 and 4:00PM for a tour of the center, to meet our live animal ambassadors and staff, and for a glimpse into some of the coastal ecology classes we teach.
