A ruling from Texas is not receiving the publicity it deserves
A federal judge in Texas has ruled that the federal government can no longer enforce key registration requirements for firearm suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and short-barreled shotguns against plaintiffs in a lawsuit brought by Kansas and 14 other states.

The court found the regulations unconstitutional after Congress eliminated the underlying
The lawsuit was filed by Kansas, Texas, Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming, along with fi****ms manufacturers, retailers, advocacy organizations, and individual gun owners.

The plaintiffs argued that Congress' decision to eliminate the NFA taxes stripped away the constitutional foundation for the law'
Unfortunately this ruling does not yet apply to Kentucky.but unless the Supreme steps in .it will be impossible for Bashear and other anti gun governors to resist the pressure to change our law here.

With KY now a constitutional carry state. And a new generation of gun owners questioning we still have a CCDW course. . I will explain

The Second Amendment gives every American the right to keep and bear arms. But that right is not absolute. If it were ever prisoner in jail ever mental hospital patient and every schoolchild would be able to carry guns anywhere.

A gun owner who decides to carry his gun with him concealed or not has to obey a miriad of regulations, that Most are unaware of.

You are subject to these laws and ignorance of them in no way will prevent your prosecution for breaking them. More seriously your ignorance could result in your death or serious injury at the hands of police or professionally trained gun owners. This is one reason why Ky still issues permits and gun owners sign up for the courses run by the States qualified instructors. These courses contain all the relevant laws that govern a gun owner here.

The second reason is reciprocity with other states. The Constitutional carry right in KY only applies to residents here. It is not transferable to any other State.
Cross State lines without a permit and you could well spend the night in a police cell..

Finally the gun laws are in place to ensure that we can enjoy our rights under the 2A if you want to check on these facts I encourage you to talk to the sheriff or one of his deputies. One final tip do not go into the Sheriff's office with your gun concealed or otherwise you will be arrested.leave it in the car or.at home.

The U.S. Supreme Court announced that it will officially review challenges to state- and local-level semi-automatic rifle bans.

The high court has granted certiorari in cases originating out of Illinois and Connecticut. This marks the most significant Second Amendment development since the Bruen decision in 2022.

As the Sportsmen’s Alliance, we want to ensure our members fully understand what this means, why it matters, and how it impacts the future of hunting and shooting sports.

What 'granting certiorari' means
Certiorari (or “cert”) is the formal process the Supreme Court uses to select the cases it will hear. Because the court receives thousands of requests each year, it is highly selective and only takes a small percentage. It requires the agreement of at least four of the nine justices to grant cert.

It is important to note that granting certiorari does not mean we have won the case, nor does it mean these bans are struck down yet. It simply means the court has officially agreed to hear the case and has placed it on their docket for a final decision.

Why SCOTUS agreed to review semi-automatic rifle bans
Here is why the Supreme Court taking up these cases is a critical turning point for sportsmen:

Address a nationwide issue. Semiautomatic rifles are among the most popular fi****ms used by millions of law-abiding citizens for hunting, target shooting, and competitive events. A definitive ruling from the high court will finally address whether states have the constitutional authority to ban these standard sporting fi****ms.
Establish needed legal clarity. For years, lower federal courts have issued conflicting rulings on firearm restrictions, creating an unpredictable patchwork of laws across the country. This upcoming Supreme Court review is the necessary mechanism to establish a uniform, national standard for Second Amendment protections.
Set the rules for the next generation. The outcome of these cases will directly impact the future of our hunting heritage, including youth shooting sports and hunter-education programs that rely on these common fi****ms.

Update on new CCDW law. This law comes into effect today. But as yet we have not received instructions on administration of the new provisional CCDW for students aged 18.21. lastest information seems to indicate the course requirements will not come into force until mid September. This is based on a LEX 18 report last night.butvi stress we have had nothing official. There are differences between the general CCDW and the provisional. Chief of which is the provisional bill only be valid in the state of Kentucky .this is primarily because many states still restrict CCDW to over 21. We intend to offer this course as soon as we get the green light from DOJ.

Well I thought I would accept FBs offer to challenge their decision not to recommend our training school. After a quick back and forth they accepted that our courses don't breach their guidelines but said that they cannot recommend us because fi****ms by their nature are symbols of violence. So just so you realize FB is not concerned about safety only apparently the scary G word s that frighten liberal groups.
We will continue to offer safe lawful professional training to all who seek it. Case closed.
