🐾 WE’RE CLIMBING, BULLDOGS! 🐾

We are incredibly proud to share some BIG news about Jefferson Junior High!

JJHS achieved 19 POINTS OF GROWTH on our state accountability rating in just ONE YEAR! 📈🎉

That growth represents so much more than a number. It represents dedicated teachers and staff, hardworking students, supportive families, targeted instruction, high expectations, and a community that believes in our Bulldogs.

Every point represents the hard work that happened in our classrooms every single day. Our students were challenged to grow, our teachers remained focused on meeting their needs, and our entire campus worked together toward one goal: doing what is best for our students.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have come, but we aren’t finished! We’re going to keep pushing, keep growing, and keep raising the bar.

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! 🐾❤️🤍

The halls are ready, the classrooms are ready, and most importantly, our teachers are ready! We’ve spent the past several days learning, planning, preparing, and working together to make this an incredible year for our Bulldogs.

Before we welcome our students back, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the amazing people who make JMS & JJHS such a special place. Our teachers have worked hard to prepare for a year filled with high expectations, meaningful learning, and continued growth, and we couldn’t let them start the year without a little back-to-school love! 🎁🐾

To our students: We can’t wait to see you tomorrow! Come ready to learn, grow, work hard, and show us what it means to do things The Bulldog Way!

As we approach our new year of athletic and other extra-curricular events, here is a reminder of JISD's Extra-Curricular Event Attendance & Clear Bag Policy.

All persons attending JISD athletic and extra-curricular events are expected to follow District guidelines to help ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for our students, staff, families, and guests.

Parent drop off and pick up for 4th, 5th and 6th grade will be on Harrison Street on the south side of campus, just as 5th and 6th grade have been previously.

Parent pick up and drop off for the 7th and 8th grade students will remain in the circle drive off Whelan Street on the north side of campus.

The bus lane remains the same and is closed to outside traffic prior to 7:55 AM and after 3:00 PM. For safety reasons, please do not try to drop students off in the bus lane.

During the school day, the main entrance on Alley Street will remain the only entrance for parents for all grade levels at Jefferson Middle School & Jefferson Junior High School.

Our JJHS team is committed to continuous growth because every adult on our campus plays a vital role in student success.

On Friday, our staff participated in John Wink's Pathway to an A training, focusing on how every staff member, not just those in STAAR-tested subjects, impacts our school's accountability and student achievement. It was a powerful reminder that excellence is a team effort.

One of the biggest takeaways from the learning was the importance of being united in our expectations. When every classroom, hallway, office, and interaction reflects the same high standards, our students experience the consistency they need to thrive.

We are building a culture where every student, every adult, and every moment matters. Together, we're creating "The Bulldog Way," with high expectations, shared accountability, and a commitment to doing whatever it takes for our students.
