Thank you to the Jefferson Parish Cultural Coordinator, Daniela Bello Comunidad, and the Jefferson Parish Library for the invitation to attend this year's Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration and Resource Fair. I appreciated the opportunity to connect with community partners and celebrate the rich contributions of the Hispanic community while representing the LSU AgCenter. Thank you to the organizers and collaborators for making this meaningful event possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined our Mediterranean Diet & Lifestyles Workshop! CenterWell Senior Primary Care's Slidell participants tried a delicious Greek salad recipe and loved it. LSU AgCenter building healthier communities one recipe at a time.

Next Mediterranean Diet & Lifestyles Workshop will be at CenterWell's Covington Clinic at 66 Park Pl, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, 7/7/26 for 1pm.

Get your fresh produce in Metairie today at LaFreniere Park Farmers Market . Their produce vendors encourage Jefferson Parish residents to make healthy choices by offering local fresh fruits and vegetables for purchase at a reasonable price.

If you are new to this page, Welcome! My husband and I are the owners of Barcelo Gardens . We are the new market managers of Lafreniere Park Farmers Market. We are excited about continuing the market at Lafreniere. One of our goals is to bring fresh, local produce to the community. Barcelo Gardens works with an array of small and medium sized farms to bring that fresh produce to market. We both grow our own produce and bring from other local farms. Farmers can't always go to frequent markets, so we help bridge that gap.
Catch us tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3000 Downs Blvd from 1pm to 6pm.

Carrots
Beets
Sweet Potatoes
Spinach
Green onions
Broccolini
Herbs
Chicken, Duck, Quail eggs
