Building a business isn’t just about transactions - it’s built on relationships.

A huge thank you to Thom Price, member of our Empower Board of Directors and owner of our local Visiting Angels Hoschton GA franchise, for speaking with our students during our Student Seminar session yesterday.

Thom shared his real-world experience of building a business from the ground up, driving home a vital lesson for our future leaders: at the heart of every successful venture is strong, authentic human connection. Whether serving families through home care or starting a new company, prioritizing people is the foundation for lasting success.

Thank you, Thom, for taking time out of your day to mentor, guide, and inspire our students during our Student Seminars!

"What do you do when there isn’t an obvious “right” answer?

Our Mental Health Professional students are putting their Professional Practice skills to work!

After learning about professional boundaries, conflicts of interest, and dual relationships, students tackled ethical scenarios on their own before stepping into a “Clinical Ethics Meeting.”

Working as MHP colleagues, they presented their dilemmas, sought peer consultation, and then reassessed their original decisions.

Because being a mental health professional isn’t just about knowing what to do - it’s about knowing when to pause, reflect, and seek another perspective."
