Ohio State Extension is proud to partner with Safe Communities and the State Highway Patrol to offer another year of Students Making A Safter Highway (SMASH) for our high-school students. With 39 youth registered, the program kicks off October 2. If you're interested in learning more and supporting the program financially, please contact Jenna at [email protected].

Registration is open for the 2027 Master Gardener Volunteer Training Class in Trumbull & Ashtabula Counties.

The program provides 50+ hours of training in horticultural topics. At the end of training, interns have the opportunity to begin volunteering with the program. Volunteer opportunities include helping answer homeowner horticulture questions, community horticulture event, and teaching at local libraries, community groups, and more!

One of our food safety specialists hosted a series of virtual webinars aimed at answering some commonly asked questions about important considerations.
