Congratulations to Mr. Dickerson, director of LKMS band who received a Bright Ideas Grant from Jackson EMC for “Band Drill Design and Composition.” This grant will be in the amount of $1,550!! Thank you Jackson EMC for supporting our schools and the fine arts!

Don't forget! Our eagerly awaited fall band concert is scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th, in the JCHS auditorium. The evening will kick off with the percussion ensemble followed by performances from the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. Best of all, admission is free! Join us for an unforgettable musical evening. 🎶🍂

We will be accepting pre-orders for these blankets at the HS band concert on Tuesday, October 10. Cash (exact change), check, or card. They will be in after fall break.
We will also have them for sale at the park & rec games on 10/21 and 11/18 and at the last Varsity home game on 11/3.

🎶 Jackson County High School Band Shines at Super Bowl of Sound! 🌟
We had an incredible day at the Super Bowl of Sound hosted at Central Carroll High School in Carrollton, GA! 🏈🎵
Competing against some outstanding award-winning bands, we gave it our all and here are the fantastic results:

In the Open Class rankings, we proudly achieved:

We scored an amazing 90.73!!

Band Parents! 🎵 Join the fun and volunteer with us! Our equipment crew is having a blast unloading gear and tailgating before competitions. Some folks who worked the concession stand last night had a fantastic time. The cleanup crew enjoys hanging out at the games while tidying up the stands. Chaperones have a blast on the bus with the kids, getting to know them better.

Appreciation post for Senior Riley Reynolds, our awesome assistant sound technician! We are so thankful for Riley and all the time he has given to the marching band this season!

Let's show some love and appreciation for Mr. Dickerson! Mr. Chandler Dickerson, who became a part of our band staff last year as the assistant director at WJMS, has now taken on the role of LKMS band director. In his first year as a teacher and as the inaugural band director, Mr. Dickerson is exceeding all expectations.

We are immensely thankful for his dedicated service and strong leadership within our band program. Mr. Dickerson's kindness, enthusiasm, and excellent rapport with our band students are truly commendable. We deeply appreciate everything he brings to the table! He brings so much energy and joy to our band program! 🎼

We loved having West Jackson Middle School Band and Legacy Knoll Middle School Band join us tonight at Panther Stadium! What a JOY it was to watch them play and dance with our band! We can’t wait to have you in the stands with us next year!!

Congratulations to East Jackson's Charlie Wheeler and Samuel Suarez for being semifinalists and to Jackson County's Justin Smith for receiving a Letter of Commendation for the National Merit Scholarship Program! All three students received one of the top 50,000 test scores on the PSAT exam, among the 1.3 million tests administered! As semifinalists, Charlie and Samuel are now in the running to earn a piece of more than $28 million in scholarship money!

A few of the JCHS Marching Band played for our Resource students at a smaller Pep Rally today! What an amazing opportunity to be apart of it!

We are so incredibly proud of our band leaders! We can confidently say we have THE BEST BAND DIRECTORS in the world! They work tirelessly for our kids and we appreciate them so much!

After serving in the UGA Red Coat Marching Band, West Jackson Middle's Mindy Griffith and East Jackson's Rebecca Heard now serve as band directors inside the Jackson County School System. Chloe Kubiak, a freshman percussionist in the JCHS band, was awarded the PAS (Percussive Arts Society) PASIC scholarship! The PASIC Scholarships have been established by Companies, in Honor of Individuals, and by PAS Chapters who recognize the value of PAS and PASIC . Scholarship winners will receive an individual PASIC registration, PASIC Souvenir T-shirt and an award for travel/lodging/food assistance. Congratulations Chloe on this awesome honor!
