We had a GREAT turn out at our Back to School Bash this evening!!

We had 28 members and many guests attend tonight. The bounce house was a huge hit!

We also kicked off our fundraiser today and it will run through September 28th! Members are selling a variety of fruit, meat, candy, & cookie dough products, as well as are selling chapter sponsorships! Please message us or comment below if you would like a kiddo to reach out to you!

Members not in attendance tonight can get a fundraising packet from their agriculture teacher on Friday!

Our Back to School Bash is TOMORROW, September 3rd from 5:00pm - 6:30pm at Nichols Career Center!

We’ll have food, drinks, cold watermelon, a bounce house, and an overall GREAT time!! Members will also get their FFA Fundraising Packets at the conclusion of the meeting!

The last but not least Missouri State Fair post! 🐂

Clayton Eiken showed his Brangus heifer today! He received first in his class, division champion, and showed in the champion Brahman Influence drive!

Missouri State Fair ✨

Today six of our officers attended the Food Insecurity Day Drive to Feed Kids at the fair! They helped pack thousands of meals that will go to families right here in mid-Missouri! We try to attend this event every year and it is a great opportunity for our members!

Lydia Sullivan showed her Market Steer today! Great work with him this year, Lydia!

Riglee Welty showed her Red Angus steer in the carcass show (results pending 📋) & her Maine Anjou steer in the market show receiving 3rd place FFA Maine Anjou!

Missouri State Fair FFA Building Results ✨

Sydney Backes took four floral arrangements to compete in the FFA Building! Two arrangements received a ‘Gold’ rating, and two received a ‘Silver’ Rating!

Sydney’s tablescape piece also received the recognition of Grand Champion Tablescape 🏅

Great job, Sydney!!

We’ll have more results in the coming days from students showing livestock at the fair!

We still have 2 hams left! $75 each! Please message us to claim!

We have a couple students with country cured hams for sale leftover from the county fair! These hams are great for eating! Hams can be taken to Hen House (formerly Schulte’s) and be sliced for free! Proceeds will go directly to the student to cover their ham expenses and invest in next years project! $75 each!

Results from the Missouri State Fair Horse Show!

Kaleigh Slayton had a long weekend showing in a variety of classes and she was very successful!

🐎9th out of 36 in Ranch Horsemanship
🐎7th out of 30+ in Ranch Riding
🐎8th out of 36 in Ranch Trail
🐎8th out of 36 in Ranch Reining

Even with a lot of hard work they still made time to enjoy a dance and water balloon fight on Saturday, too!

And the CCYS closed out with the Ham & Bacon Auction this morning!

Lydia & Clayton sold their bacons. Thank you to their buyers and all buyers for supporting youth in agriculture!!
