2nd Block wasn’t our most energetic group BUT they were always engaged when they walked in. Paid attention to the little details, looked like they wanted to be there, and most importantly laughed at my bad jokes 😆😆

MOVEMENT over Maxes, FORM over Weight…while one could argue that Effort and Intent can be more important….Technique sets the foundation for everything. We don’t expect our athletes to be perfect as they are not competing in Powerlifting or Weightlifting…if you are not holding yourself or your athletes to a high standard in training then you need to reevaluate!!

Shout out to our Athletes of the Month for January…

Once 4th Block figured out how to have energy and fun in their training…they were one of the most enjoyable groups to train. They really started to figure that out halfway through the year and every day I looked forward to coaching them!!

One of my favorite authors is Martin Rooney …he sums up coaching so well in his books and one of those quotes I live by is “Coaching isn’t something you do TO someone. Coaching is something you do WITH someone.”

Shout out to our Athletes of the Month for December…

2nd block always had a way of making me smile and laugh during the beginning of our training but then could switch it quickly to being locked in for the main lift portion. They were a fun group to train all year!!

Having the most upperclassmen in a class, when 3rd Block was motivated and ready to go…they were the best block we had. November they came in with great attendance and locked in!!

4th Block had 97% attendance in October. That is unheard of. Our number 1 indicator for success is showing up and these athletes went above and beyond the expectation.
