In case you missed it, the Biofuels: Science and Sustainability Tour stopped at the Iowa State Capitol for a look at the growing connection between American agriculture and aviation.
Kent Hartwig, director of state government affairs for Gevo, spoke with more than 40 congressional staffers about the developing industry and the opportunity to turn renewable ethanol made from American corn into drop-in aviation fuel. Expanding SAF production can create new demand for agricultural commodities while providing aviation with an important pathway to reduce lifecycle emissions.
The Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation was proud to sponsor the 17th annual tour, hosted by the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association.
