People often claim that history, and human behavior, is doomed to repeat itself. There's no easier place to see this than in court cases. Join Dr. Hannah Bowling on Sept 9 for our next LU-MRRL Lecture Series event to learn more about how we are not so far removed from the past as you might think! A professor of English at LU, Dr. Bowling's talk will focus on early modern court cases and how they have shaped modern legal matters in modern day America. Her talk, "Sorcery, Scandals, and... Swans? Early Modern Crimes and Punishments," will be from 6:30-8PM at the Missouri River Regional Library.

Where do you go for drama during an era without television and reality tv? Come find out at this September's LU-MRRL Lecture Series event on Sept 9 from 6:30-8PM! This month's lecture, "Sorcery, Scandal, and... Swans? Early Modern Crimes and Punishments" will be given by Dr. Hannah Bowling, assistant professor English at Lincoln University.
