Please help us welcome Becky Dunn, Director of Communications & Community Relations for the St. Joseph School District, to MOSPRA!

Becky spent much of her career in higher education, working at three different colleges as well as Missouri’s Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development. Believing that education changes lives, she’s now enjoying the opportunity to bring her experience to K-12 education.

One of Becky’s favorite parts of her role is the variety of projects and the rhythm of the school year. She especially loves celebrating students and staff through the district’s Prize Patrol, which makes surprise classroom visits complete with toy instruments. Becky’s instrument of choice? A little blue accordion!

Outside of work, Becky enjoys event planning, hosting tea parties for her nieces, and serving in the women’s ministry at her church.

Becky says she’s grateful to be part of the talented team at SJSD, and we’re excited to have her as part of the MOSPRA community, too.

Welcome to MOSPRA, Becky! 🎉

Please help us welcome Kara Constance, Tech Coordinator for Salem R-80 School District, to MOSPRA!

Kara wears several hats when it comes to communications in her district, helping manage social media, the district website, and their two-way communication system.

One of the things she has enjoyed most about MOSPRA is connecting with others who play key roles in their districts’ communications. She appreciates having a community where members can bounce ideas off one another, share experiences, and learn the do’s and don’ts of school communication together.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys gardening, spending time with her toddler, shopping for unique finds, spending time at the river, riding trails and back roads, and cats.

We’re excited to have Kara as part of the MOSPRA community. Welcome, Kara! 🎉

Please help us welcome Patrick Quinn, Director of Communications for Hillsboro R-III School District, to MOSPRA!

After a career in TV news, Patrick found himself drawn to school and government communications. When he saw the opportunity at Hillsboro R-III, a district that reminded him of the one he grew up in in central Illinois, he knew he wanted to apply — and says making the move was a fantastic decision.

One of Patrick’s favorite parts of his role is telling the stories of students, teachers, and the people working behind the scenes. He’s helped grow the district’s social media, YouTube, and website to share more of those stories and celebrate the hard work happening throughout the Hillsboro community.

Outside of work, Patrick is a Chicago Cubs and University of Illinois football fan and collects vintage baseball cards from the 1950s–70s and old microphones. He’s also a voiceover artist! When he’s not doing that, you’ll likely find he and his wife cheering on their daughter at dance competitions or helping their son prepare for college.

We’re excited to have Patrick as part of the MOSPRA community. Welcome, Patrick! 🎉

Please help us welcome Morgan Buresh, Digital Media Specialist for the Missouri State Teachers Association (MSTA), to MOSPRA!

Before joining MSTA, Morgan worked in broadcast news. With a family full of educators, transitioning into a role where she could use her communications experience to support public education felt like a natural fit.

While her role looks a little different from a traditional district communications position, Morgan is excited to connect with fellow MOSPRA members, learn how others are communicating with educators, and find new and creative ways to apply those ideas in her work at MSTA.

Outside of work, Morgan enjoys DIY projects, plants, writing, and spending time with her husband.

We’re excited to have Morgan as part of the MOSPRA community. Welcome, Morgan! 🎉
