Advocacy is not only about politics. It is the ability to understand an issue, explain why it matters, and help move people toward a solution. Students use these skills in school, college, the workplace, and their communities.

We are pleased to announce a new cooperative agreement between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD USA) North America, the AATG, and Delta Phi Alpha : Collegiate German Honorary Society.

This partnership reinforces our shared commitment to promoting excellence in German language, literature, and culture, and to supporting opportunities for study abroad and exchange programs in Germany.

Through this collaboration, we are excited to work together to support each other’s programs and initiatives in several key ways:

✨ Highlighting study abroad and scholarship programs from both AATG/Delta Phi Alpha and DAAD, including partnering where appropriate.
✨ Featuring Delta Phi Alpha and its students in select DAAD materials, and sharing information on DAAD scholarships and grants through AATG/Delta Phi Alpha channels.
✨ Maintaining open and timely communication about relevant programs, updates, and materials.

We look forward to the expanded opportunities this partnership will bring to our members of the National German Honor Society.

🌟Save the date! 🌟
World Languages and Cultures at Missouri State University will be hosting their Day of the Dead Festival this fall.

Get ready for a colorful celebration filled with music, creativity, tradition, and community! As in previous years, the festival will feature some of our favorite activities, including the altar contest, Catrín & Catrina dress competition, and calaveritas poetry, along with opportunities to learn about and celebrate the rich traditions of Día de los Mu***os.

✨ The festival is free and open to the public! ✨

For now, simply mark your calendar and save the date. We’ll be sharing more details, including information about how to participate in the contests for your students, and other festival activities, in the coming weeks.

We hope you’ll celebrate with us and help make this year’s festival another memorable one!

You may also share it with your friends, colleagues, or whoever would be interested in attending the festival.

Please contact Dr. Vanessa Rodriguez de la Vega with specific questions about the event.
