Introducing our next guest arts our our Summer Dance Intensive 2026, Elise Heitkemp!

Elise danced professionally with Mareck Center for Dance (Formerly known as Missouri Contemporary Ballet) for 15 seasons. While dancing with Mareck Center for Dance she worked with many well-known choreographers from all over the nation including Kristopher Estes-Brown, Joshua Blake Carter, Autumn Eckman, Kameron Saunders, Penny Saunders, Bryn Cohn, John Mark Owen, Christian Denice, Tiger Martina, Lindsey Matheis, Helen Hatch, Colby Damon, and Thang Dao.
She has performed many lead roles in new works as well as featured roles in Mareck Center for Dance repertoire including her re-occurring role as Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland and Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella. She toured nationally and internationally with the company to New York City, Newport RI, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and South Korea while participating and performing in many national dance festivals including Spring to Dance, Dance St. Louis, and Island Moving Company’s Summer Dance Festival. Elise has performed as a guest artist with Dance Grosse Ile, Springfield Ballet, and The Schaumburg Ballet in Chicago. Elise continues her professional career with Columbia Ballet under the direction of Alec Roth and Sophia Myers for the 2026/2027 season. Shes worked with national and local choreographers for various performances with the company including performing in Columbia Ballets premier of the Nutcracker as the Sugar Plum fairy in 2025. Elise is a certified Pilates instructor and has been teaching Pilates for 13 years, currently teaching at Mindful Movement Physical Therapy and Wellness Center. Elise has 20 years of teaching experience with dance education and currently teaches at Dancers Alley, Dance Arts and Columbia Ballet School.

Introducing our second Guest Artist for our Elite Summer Dance Intensive, Miss Khamille Randall!!

Khamille Randall is a dancer and choreographer native of Jefferson City, Missouri. She started her performing career and dance training at the age of 3 at Elite Performing Arts and Second Baptist Church Youth Praise Ministry. Once in high school, she joined her school's dance team where they trained in pom and jazz. In her junior and senior years of high school, she was one of the two captains. Khamille is now a rising 4th-year dance major at The Ohio State University. Since then, she has performed work and collaborated with artists such as Doug Varone, Edward Taketa, and Alisha Jihn. Khamille has performed at ACDA (American College Dance Association), RADFest Dance Festival and with DOVA (Doug Varone and Dancers) at the Wexner Center for the Arts in November 2025. She has also studied abroad and performed in Brazil with the department in May 2025. While in school, Khamille has also choreographed work that was performed for both Elite and her high school's dance team in the surrounding cities of Missouri.

🖤Duke University, Durham, NC- Current MFA-EIP (Embodied Interdisciplinary Praxis) Student
2025 - present
Expanding interdisciplinary movement practice, choreographic methodology, and teaching philosophies that establish modes of storytelling, embodied audience engagement, and contemporary/modern movement techniques. Focus on horror cinema, religious studies, dramaturgy, and more. Entering 2nd and final year of the program, which will culminate in an hour-long choreographic thesis and research paper. Under the tutelage of Dr. Andrea E. Woods Valdés, Dr. Michael Kliën, Dr. Jinqiu Guan, Professor Ava LaVonne Vinesett, and Dr. Sarah Wilbur.

Movement focus in contemporary modern-based technique (Horton, release work, Cunningham, West African, ballet, improvisation, choreographic practice, Feldenkrais Technique, and more). Acted as a teaching assistant for intermediate-collegiate modern-contemporary class. Studied supplementary coursework such as Q***r History, Gender and Culture, PostColonial Approaches to Dance, and more, focusing on dance as liberation, celebration, revolution, and ritual. Studied under Darrell Jones, Raquel Monroe, Paige Cunningham-Caldarella, T. Ayo Alston, and more.
