This organization of professional women is involved in numerous community service activities throughout the year:

Each month Club members provide care for children at the Jefferson City Rape and Abuse Crisis Service Center to allow their mothers to attend counseling session. Members of the Club also sign copies of the book You Can Be Free by Ginny NiCarthy and Sue Davidson which every resident of RACS receives as a gift. The Service Committee identifies items which are needed by area organizations. These items are purchased by members, and the Service Committee collects them at meetings and delivers them to the selected agency. Zonta Club of Jefferson City distributed its Period Packs at the August 15th Youth Personal Care & Wellness Fair at Building Community Bridges! The Period Project provides free menstrual products to those in need. Thanks to Sangeeta Roberts and Becky Ambrose for hosting the Zonta table!

Members of the Zonta Club of Jefferson City packed 200 Period Packs at its Tuesday meeting for distribution at an upcoming Youth Personal Care and Wellness Fair on August 15th! The Zonta Period Project provides menstrual health products for girls and women challenged with obtaining sufficient products to support their needs.

Emily Kliethermes with Sharon Langenbeck, Zonta International's first Amelia Earhart Fellow; past President of Zonta International; worked on the Mars Rover and, more specific to our club, went to grad school at MU and was in the same sorority as Jefferson City Zonta Club member Becky Ambrose!

The Zonta Club of Jefferson City was proud to be a small part of Saturday's Habitat for Humanity Home Dedication by providing a Welcome Home Basket for the Courtney family of 5. Thanks to Laurelanne Belazzo and Cindy Bates for putting the basket together and presenting the basket during the Dedication ceremony! Zonta is proud to support our local Habitat for Humanity!
