🍦🍧What a SWEET way to celebrate our first week!

We made it through the first week of school, and our teachers and staff deserved a little something sweet! 💙❤️

A HUGE thank you to the amazing owners of The Swirl Italian Ice & Ice Cream for bringing their ice cream truck out and treating our staff to some delicious sweet treats! The professionalism, smiles and amazing energy to all of our staff was unmatched🍨☀️

And a very special THANK YOU to our amazing Counselors and Missouri Builders Service for sponsoring this special treat and continuing to show up for our school and our staff. We are so grateful for community partners who believe in supporting our educators and helping make our school a special place to be. 💙❤️

It takes a village, and we are incredibly thankful to have such a great one surrounding our school! 🫶

A Jefferson City alternative learning school is under a new roof on St. Mary's Boulevard, just in time for the next school year.

REMINDER: JC Schools will host a community open house on Monday, August 17th from 3:30-4:30PM at the new JCAC - Jefferson City Academic Center (812 St. Marys Blvd).

JC Schools stakeholders and community members are invited to join us to celebrate the grand opening and to view the new facility via self-guided tours.

JCAC was previously located with the Miller Performing Arts Center on Madison Street, but will move into their newly renovated facility, which previously housed the Southwest Early Childhood Center, for the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

The renovations were funded by the Kids FIRST (zero tax rate) bond issue, which was passed by Jefferson City School District voters in April of 2023 with a 68 percent approval rate. You can learn more about the bond issue here: https://www.jcschools.us/community/kids-first-bond-issue
