More than 100 community college leaders gathered at the Lake of the Ozarks last week for MCCA's annual Trustee & Executive Leadership Conference! From strategic foresight to legislative updates, including a closer look at Missouri's higher education funding formula, our members are doing the work to set their institutions up for a strong 2026-2027 school year. ACCT President & CEO Jee Hang Lee joins us to share the latest on federal policy.

We're still thinking about what an incredible day it was! More than 130 members gathered last week for MCCA's annual Classified Staff Day, and the numbers were record-breaking.

Both in-person and virtual attendance hit all-time highs, making it our second largest membership event ever. Attendees got a legislative update straight from the Capitol with Rep. Brad Banderman and MCCA President & CEO Brian Millner, heard from STLCC's Shannon Nicholson and Dr. D'Andre Braddix on supporting Gen Z on campus, and learned about the science of hope from ECC's Heather Bond.

We were honored to welcome Rep. Brad Banderman, who represents Union, for this morning’s legislative address alongside MCCA CEO & President Brian Millner.
