Attention Students in Grades 9-12:

The Jeannette High School Student Council is sponsoring the 2026 Homecoming Dance entitled “Miami Nights!” The dance will be held on Saturday, September 26th from 7:00pm-10:00pm. This year’s dance will be held at the Elements Venue in Irwin.

Sign-ups for the dance will begin today and will run until Friday, September 11th. You may sign up with Mr. Huether in Room 108. Tickets are $25 each. Payment is due at the time of sign-up.

Forms are available for outside guests as long as they meet the requirements. Please see Mr. Huether for requirements. Forms are also due at the time of sign-up. If your outside guest is a graduate, they must obtain clearances.

Students placed on attendance/disciplinary/administrative probations will not be able to attend. Please be aware that after September 11th, your tickets are non-refundable. If you have any questions or need forms, please see Mr. Huether.

Back to School Night tonight!

Students and families, please join us for Back to School Night on August 18th from 6 pm - 8 pm! Please enter through Cafeteria Door 8 near the rear parking lots. There will be food trucks outside by the picnic tables and community partners with tables set up inside the cafeteria. Teachers and staff will be ready to greet students and welcome them back for a new school year!

As we prepare for the start of this school year, we want to again inform our students and families about this year's cell phone expectations.

Our goal is simple: to protect instructional time and maximize learning opportunities for every student. Research consistently shows that limiting distractions during class helps students stay engaged, participate more actively, and achieve greater academic success.

Students will have opportunities to use their phones at designated times throughout the school day, but during instructional periods, phones should remain put away so that our classrooms remain focused on teaching and learning.

We appreciate the partnership of our families as we work together to create an environment where every student can thrive. Thank you for supporting our efforts to keep the focus on what matters most—student learning!
