Jasper School Alumni Association The Alumni Association posts news & photos related to the Jasper School (all former students are invited to contribute memories) & hosts an annual reunion

The first meeting of the Jasper School Alumni Association was August 17th, 1991, the goals they set then have been carried out for the last 24 years. Administrated by a committee of officers and volunteers, the association hosts the Jasper School Alumni Reunion the first Friday and Saturday in October. Each year they facilitate the nominations and awards of a deserving member of the Jasper community with a Distinguished Citizen Award and a Jasper School graduate with an Outstanding Alumni Award. Through donations and suggested annual alumni dues of $10.00 they are able to offer a $500.00 scholarship to a deserving Jasper High School senior each year. To honor all Jasper School graduates who have passed away during the previous year; black and white balloons are released for each departed student during the annual memorial ceremony.

Normally, we’d follow these up with their senior pictures… but these folks just graduated in May. Half of them are probably still using their senior picture as their profile pic. 😂

Wait. This was TEN years ago?! 😳
We’ve made it to the Jasper High School Class of 2016 — and somewhere along the way, the yearbook sure got fancy on us!
Yesterday we saw them as little second graders. Ten years later, here they are as seniors — complete with favorite quotes, favorite moments and some pretty solid advice to the underclassmen.
And now, somehow, another ten years have passed.

🍽️ One thing that changed a LOT over the decades at Jasper School was lunch.

But no matter what year you were there, everybody had a favorite.

Who remembers the hand-dropped chocolate no-bakes? 🍪
That mysterious purple blueberry pudding? 🫐
Or that incredible homemade vegetable beef soup? 🥣

And we know that’s just scratching the surface.

Mrs. Cowell and Mrs. Flud had their hands full with the future Jasper High School Class of 2016 — and the yearbook left us plenty of evidence. 😂

Wasn’t October a blast?
A huge thank-you to everyone who came to the Jasper Alumni Reunion — and to those who helped make it happen. Seeing old classmates reconnect and swap stories… it was almost like being back there again.
And guess what? We’re not letting that reunion feeling fade away.
Starting this month, we’re rolling out two bimonthly traditions designed to bring back the memories, laughter, and the stories we thought we’d forgotten:
🕰️ Turn-Back Tuesday
A little nudge to remember those hallways — the lockers, the teachers, and the friendships that shaped us.
📸 Flashback Friday
We’re cracking open the mental yearbook… and maybe a few real ones! Photos, memories, “remember when…?” gems and surprises from across the decades.

We didn’t catch everyone in photos, but we sure caught the spirit — great meal, great fun, and even greater fellowship! 💛
Big shoutout to Linda Simpson, Rickey Freeman and Van Wilson for traveling so far to spend the day reminiscing with friends, to Helen “Tiny” Reynolds for pulling it all together, and to the faithful committee members who keep this tradition alive year after year. 🏴‍☠️
