Some of The Joy House residents were able to go to Burt's Pumpkin Patch last week. Tina Mabry (Tina G. Mabry ) blessed each girl with gorgeous pumpkins, treats and joy filled afternoon. We are so thankful for Tina and the love she bestows on our residents.

Tis the season for front porch Bible studies. Cooler air, beautiful light and gorgeous scenery to add to the amazing word of God. Our houseparents are gifted at sharing the love of Christ with our residents.

"God, in his unsearchable wisdom, made our days to revolve around the rhythms of evening and morning. Sleep is not the product of the fall. Adam was a sleeper before he was a sinner (Genesis 2:21). Sleep is God’s idea and good design, to be received as sweet (Proverbs 3:24; Ecclesiastes 5:12) and pleasant (Jeremiah 31:26). Because God doesn’t sleep, we can (Psalm 121:4). In short, our infinite, untiring Creator made us finite, tiresome creatures."

Sleep may feel like an inconvenience, a pause in your productivity. But what if every bedtime provides an opportunity to pursue joy in God?

The Joy House, a Christian home for teens located in Jasper, Georgia is currently seeking a married couple for a full-time house-parenting position in our girls’ home. No prior experience needed, as training will be provided. Must be a mature Christian couple that has a strong desire to share Christ’s love with the teens and their families. Applicants must be married at least 3 years with no more than 2 children of their own. While modeling a Christian family, we ask the house-parents to provide care, nurturing, and structure for up to five teen girls.
